21.1k Half Marathon
One of the first runs recorded in history, long before the mythological Greek marathon, is mentioned in the Bible at the beginning of the book of Samuel:
“And a man of Benjamin ran from the battle and came to Shiloh on that day.”
The Bible Marathon revives this historic run from Rosh Ha’ayin to Ancient Shiloh with a huge international event incorporating sports and experience. Runners of the half marathon route will be running half of the ancient route that the biblical man of Benjamin once ran.
Starting time: 7 AM from Ariel. We recommend arriving at the starting point about an hour before the starting time.
Open until 10:00 AM.
Running on wide, comfortable roads.
Starting point: Ariel
Finish line: Ancien Shilo.
Route goes from Ariel – Rehelim Junc. – Shilo.
Total cumulative ascent: 602 meters.
Total cumulative descent: 171meters.
Altitude range: From 49 meters to 515 meters.
Water stations throughout the run: Every 3 km, starting from the fourth km.
Highway 5 will be blocked to eastbound traffic from Kessem Interchange to Barkan Interchange between 4:30 AM and 8:00 AM.
Jerusalem Blvd. in Ariel will be blocked eastbound traffic from the entrance to the city to the eastern gate (near the university) between 5:30 AM and 9:40 AM.
It will be possible to enter and exit Ariel via Efron Blvd (the road that ascends to the industrial zone).
The Ariel-Nofei Nechemia-Rechelim Highway will be blocked to traffic in both directions between 5:30 AM and 10:10 AM.
Highway 60 from Rechelim Junction to Shiloh Junction will be blocked to traffic in both directions between 5:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Shiloh Junction will be open to traffic coming from south of Highway 60 toward Shiloh.
Storage of personal belongings:
Half marathon runners will be provided with storage space for their personal belongings at the starting line. Backpacks will be transferred in an orderly fashion to the storage area at the finish line at Ancient Shiloh.

Half marathon runners will receive a unique clay medal, a high quality brand-name polo shirt and entrance to the spectacular complex at the finish line in Ancient Shiloh.
Running on the race route is permitted for registered runners with a race bib only!

Half Marathon age categories:
Men/women 1st, 2nd and 3rd place:
There must be a minimum of 5 participants per category (if there are less than 5 participants, the category may be joined with a category close to it). Participants’ ages will be determined by year of birth.
